Who’s behind the tools at HURST Jaws of Life? It’s customer service representatives like Ashley Greene. Her tasks are many as she serves HURST Jaws of Life dealers, from checking order status to ensuring product availability. But her biggest job is just around the corner: becoming a first-time mother.
“I say they’re dealers, but I consider them friends,” she says when she describes the customers she works with each day by phone and email. “They’re part of the group I first told I was pregnant.”
A Tennessee native and graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Ashley found HURST Jaws of Life as the result of a storybook romance. She met her husband, a Shelby, N.C., native, on a cruise that stopped in blue water destinations including Key West and Cozumel. They dated long distance for a while, texting, calling, meeting in neutral locations and traveling to get to know each other’s friends and families. She still remembers one of her early visits to Shelby.
“HURST was one of the sites my husband just had to show me,” she said. “I remember he told me, ‘This is the only place in the world that makes Jaws of Life.’ I knew what Jaws of Life were, but to work here now is so cool.
Ashley has been part of the HURST family for four years, and it’s exciting to know Ashley’s own family will grow in mid-November with the addition of their little girl – a new life and a precious reminder of why we do what we do each and every day. #BehindTheTools.
